THE CRAFT started out of a desire to understand the creative process surrounding the making of some of our favorite music. In this new age of music production there are as many ways to create music as there are people making it. The topic of how music gets made seems infinitely interesting. As lovers of music in all forms we thought if we could get enough theories documented we could start to unravel the mysteries and start to develop better theories on not only what binds all music together but what sets certain music apart from its counterparts. In the end hoping to discover where creativity ultimately comes from.

With over 16 years of dj experience and a professional background in motion design for television and film, Trevor Smith has brought together his two great passions with The Craft. "Music to me is the visceral expression of emotion. It is my great hope that if we can know more about how art is made then we will know more about ourselves."

Stephanie's love for music is matched only by her professional experience. From her roots in music as a world class booking agent to her current position as  Executive Producer of post sound for Engine Room Studios, music has always played a prevalent role in her life. Stephanie brings a raw passion to The Craft, and for that matter any project she takes on,  that lifts up everyone that she comes in contact with.

Mat is a one man army in the world of video and film. As if getting his Masters in editing from AFI wasn't enough Mat is also a accomplished photographer. HIs passion for capturing life and telling stories is something that you don't see very often, if ever. We are just lucky to have him on this project before some big filmmaker comes along and steals him from us.
